Arch. Eugenio M. Ramírez Ballagas

Principal

Eugenio Ramírez Ballagas completed a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s in Architecture at Virginia Tech. He received his degree in 1999. He worked for Sand Studios and Lundberg Design in San Francisco California from 2000 until 2002. In Puerto Rico, he worked for the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) as a Project Manager, Luis Flores Arquitectos and Fuster, and Partners from 2003 until 2006 before establishing his practice formerly known as ERERAS Arquitectos in San Juan Puerto Rico in 2008.

 

He is a professor of Architecture at the University of Puerto Rico and has previously been at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico before obtaining a full-time position as an Assistant Professor at the EIDA of The Turabo University in Puerto Rico in 2017.

Zuleika Hernández Miranda, M.Arch

Partner & Architectural Design Director

Zuleika Hernández Miranda completed a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design and a Master's in Architecture from the University of Puerto Rico in 2002.  She worked for the Puerto Rico State Historic Preservation Office until 2007 to eventually work at the Puerto Rico Housing Finance Authority as Executive Director for Multifamily Projects.  Eventually, she worked for the Office of Management and Permits (OGPe) of Puerto Rico to shortly soon work at the Puerto Rico Department of Housing as Assistant Secretary for Housing Subsidies and Community Planning.  Besides being an architect, Zuleika is also a licensed Real Estate Broker. 

At ERBa she is in charge of design, assessment on federal fundings, environmental compliance (Section 106), and permits.

 

Our Office

In the process of building and creating Architecture, ERBa has the knowledge and experience to assure a successful combination of aesthetics, quality and function in space.  We have also evolved into a design-build office, aiming at well-developed conceptual and spatial proposals, as well as contextual and innovative technological solutions for different circumstances.

 

ERBa has been recognized through the years with several design awards such as the AIA Honor Award Puerto Rico Chapter for the Puerto Rican laureate writer Mayra Santos-Febres Library in 2009, The Arroyo’s municipality Waterfront in 2015, and the Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico’s Hacienda La Esperanza.
